Willen Lake Statement on Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In order to protect lives, we must all follow the latest government advice in relation to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Please see the latest guidelines here: www.gov.uk/coronavirus

At all times, you should observe social distancing which means staying at least 2 metres apart from other people you do not live with. You should not meet indoors with anyone not in your household or social bubble. You can meet one other person from another household in outdoor public spaces, such as parks.

If you feel unwell, or anyone in your household has symptoms, we ask that you please do not visit Willen Lake and follow the government advice to self-isolate.

Activities

Our activities are now closed for the winter period. The Willen Observation Wheel is closed due to the current lockdown restrictions. No fishing or watersports are permitted until further notice.

You can still visit Willen Lake for exercise, take a look at some of our walking or cycling routes here

Facilities

Our Public Toilets next to the café will be open at Willen Lake, these will be regularly cleaned and monitored by our team, please follow onsite signage for guidance on accessing the toilet facilities.

The Café, One4six will remain open for takeaway only at Willen Lake between 9am and 4pm daily (subject to weather conditions). Where possible, the operators will ask customers to pay by card and preferably by using contactless payment. 

Play areas and outdoor gym equipment

Our Play areas will be open for use with some restrictions in place. However, from Monday 11 January our Toddler Play area will be closed as part of the improvement works happening at Willen Lake. Find out more about the guidance and restrictions in place here.

Our Outdoor Gym equipment is now not permitted to be used, due to the restrictions now in place.
