Willen Lake Statement on Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Updated 10th September 2020

In order to protect lives, we must all follow the latest government advice in relation to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Please see the latest guidelines here: www.gov.uk/coronavirus

At all times, you should observe social distancing guidelines when you are outside your home, including ensuring you keep your distance from anyone outside your household or those not in your social bubble. You must not meet with people from other households socially in groups of more than 6.

If you feel unwell, or anyone in your household has symptoms, we ask that you please do not visit Willen Lake and follow the government advice to self-isolate.

Activities

From Monday 14th September, you must not meet with people from other households socially in groups of more than 6. COVID-19 Secure venues can still host larger numbers in total but groups of up to 6 must not mix or form larger groups. Therefore we have updated our booking system to not allow group bookings of more than 6 people.

We have been working hard behind the scenes with the relevant national governing bodies to adapt our operations in line with the latest government guidance, ensuring we have a safe and fun experience for our visitors. Sessions have been adapted and we’ve reduced capacities to support social distancing. There will be an enhanced cleaning regime in place for equipment, and multiple points for our customers to access hand wash or hand sanitisation stations.

We are now able to offer the following activities at Willen Lake;

  • Treetop Extreme
  • Watersport courses
  • Splash ‘n’ Play
  • Wakeboarding
  • Open Water Swimming
  • Boat Hire and launch of own craft

All of our activities (except Pedalos) must be booked in advance, please visit the watersport  and activities pages on our website to book and for further information.

Pedalos will be available for hire, subject to weather conditions our hire centre will be open every day from 11am – 6pm. Please note that this activity cannot be booked online in advance and will operate on a first come first serve basis, we ask where possible that you pay by card and complete the NHS Track & Trace form provided on site. All equipment and Pedalos will be cleaned between use and must only be used by members of the same household or social bubble.

We ask everyone participating in activities to adhere to government guidance on social distancing and if you feel unwell, or anyone in your household has symptoms, we ask that you please do not visit Willen Lake and follow the government advice to self-isolate.
