About Blackhorse Wood

Blackhorse Wood is located off Wolverton Road, close to Stonepit Field and Great Linford Manor Park. The woodland has developed over the past forty years or so on former paddocks that straddled the embankment of the old Wolverton to Newport Pagnell railway line, which ceased being used in the 1960s and now forms the Milton Keynes Railway Walk (adopted foot/horse/cycle path).

Facilities

There are no facilities in Blackhorse Wood, however, there is free parking available at Great Linford Manor Park or Stonepit Field which are both just a short walk away.

The nearest toilets are at the Milton Keynes Arts Centre (please check in advance for opening times). The nearest pub or restaurant is The Black Horse Pub in Great Linford.

Accessibility

Access to Blackhorse Wood is limited - access is via steep steps. There are wood chipped paths throughout the woodland.
