Carols at the Cathedral

15:30 - 17:30

The time has come around to get the family together and celebrate Christmas by singing Christmas Carols. Previously, the event was held at MK Rose but we thought it would be great to have it at The Tree Cathedral. The event will start at 15:30 on Sunday 12th December 2021 and will be free to the public. The event will start with a short festive procession and performances from Arts1 Performing Arts School, staring at the Peace Pagoda car park and will end at the fabulous tree cathedral where the festivities will commence.

We really enjoy our annual carolling event - it’s a great opportunity for everyone to come together and really immerse themselves in the festive spirit. It’s a hugely popular Milton Keynes tradition and it wouldn’t feel like Christmas without it.

This year we will also be a collecting for MK Food Bank there will be a donation point at the Tree Cathedral, so please bring along donations, a full list of what they need can be found here.

Willen Hospice will also be joining us to provide mulled wine and hot chocolate for a small donation, raising much-needed funds for their vital charity.

We hope to see you there; don’t forget to wrap up warm and bring a torch or lantern!

Contrary to what many believe, Milton Keynes does have its own cathedral. But like the city itself, this cathedral is unique - made from bark and leaves rather than bricks and mortar.

Willen Lake North is home to one of Milton Keynes’ best-known landmarks, the first Peace Pagoda to be built in the western world - and to a rich and varied bird population.
